Biodiversity on Campus

We are lucky to have a large campus with huge opportunities for promoting biodiversity. The campus already has several biodiversity areas with areas left unmowed and seeding of chalk grassland plants. A meadow has been developed on the campus, planted with native British species.

There have been multiple tree planting projects on the campus, including in March 2023 when 100 trees were planted by students around the campus, and the creation of a community apple orchard in March 2025 using trees won in a competition by Thatchers.
