I sent my daughter to Van Riper and loved everything about this school. The teachers were attentive and truly loved every child. The curriculum was student centered and the teachers always individualized their instruction to meet every child’s needs. The director (Maggie) is a true professional! You can tell she is an outstanding, loving, and warm teacher from the minute you meet her. She made me feel comfortable and most of all she makes every child feel special.

We have had a great experience at VRECS. Three of my children have graduated the program. I trust the staff completely and see a quality of teacher that I have not found elsewhere. The curriculum really prepared my children for Kindergarten and beyond. I also love their indoor and outdoor play spaces. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else! I had my son in 2 other programs before he started at VRECS and they really didn't compare.

VRECS is an amazing school. I have 3 children, my oldest being 9 and my twins who currently attend the school are 4. Years ago, when we were searching for a preschool for our oldest, we looked at a few different schools and liked them but once I toured VRECS and learned of the curriculum that was offered and met the staff, I knew in my heart that this was the school for my daughter. Both my husband and I fell in love with the school and were very happy that the decision was so easy to make. My oldest attended both pre-k3 and transitional kindergarten. Due to missing the cut off as she is a November baby, she is a year behind because of state laws, but academically, her teachers felt that she was ready to move into transitional kindergarten as she was thriving in prek3, I was told "she is ready". The transition to trans kindergarten was smooth, she loved her teachers, loved the students but most of all, loved to learn. She was reading by the end of the school year and was more than ready for Kindergarten. The staff is very welcoming, nurturing, loving but most of all attentive to each and every student. They are so engaged in the children's daily lives that the school is like a second home to them. We had nothing but a wonderful experience with my oldest so when it was time to send my twins (currently 4) to preschool, we knew in our heart that Van Riper was going to be our choice without any hesitation. My children love going to school EVERYDAY, they love their teachers, they love the aftercare staff, they love the office staff, Mrs. Nayda ,Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Ziegler but most of all, they too love to learn. Every day they learn something new and can't wait to come home to tell us all about it. This school has a lot to offer the children, they will leave knowing so much. Your child will be ready for Kindergarten, there is no doubt in my mind that they will not be ready. We know as parents; we made the right choice for our kids and so can you. As a grandparent who is actively involved in raising my grandchildren, I'm extremely impressed with this program and the staff at Van Riper Ellis. As an instructor, Maggie Nelson was particularly noteworthy. She's creative, caring, and wonderful at connecting with the children. She had since become an administrator and continues to be an asset to this school. Her dedication to the children and their social, emotional, and academic advancement is clearly evident and quite comforting for our family.

Van Riper Ellis is a warm, sweet, and amazing preschool. I cannot say enough good things about this preschool. My son thrived while he attended Van Riper. The teachers and staff are attentive, caring, and kind. The community is wonderful.

Hi, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the teachers my son had at VRCES. I could not have been more happy, and felt more secure with the care and education they provided him with when he attended. I also want to say a special thank you to an amazing teacher named Mrs. Nelson. My son still talks about the love and care he received daily. I was amazed at the amount of knowledge my son acquired during the year with Mrs. Nelson. She along with the dedicated staff made sending my son to pre-K and Kindergarten a wonderful experience. I was looking a preschool for my 4 year old son. We had just moved to Fair Lawn. During my search, I came upon this school and decided to check it out. I emailed them on a Sunday night asking about their program. I got a reply early Monday morning!!!! I requested them for an appointment, and I got it for the same day! The director of the program and the staff are very helpful. They made me feel so comfortable and gave me a tour of the school. The director is an excellent adviser and administrator when it comes to the needs of the children. My sons' teachers are incomparable!!! He is my third child and I have to say, I am so blessed to have my child be a part of this great school!!!

This school develops strong character in its students, like integrity, compassion, and respect. My sons' speech is delayed and I shared my concerns to the director and my sons' teachers. They were extremely helpful in guiding me. I cannot thank them enough!!!! The integrity, honesty and fairness they portray are beyond expectations. I feel like the school staff considers my concerns as their responsibility to help with!

I just want to say thank you to all of the personnel, great school. My 3 year old is happy all the time, he loves the school, he has improved in behavior, academically and personally. He is following directions better, he is in pre-k3 and he knows most of the letters, he spell a lot of words, and memorizes a verse from the bible every month and he is only 3. Misses Pam and Pat are wonderful, lovely, caring and they work with parents as a team, they let you know when you need to work on something at home. I have almost a year in the school, and I have no regrets, no complaints. The only thing I have to say is THANK YOU! You are a great school and a great help for parents that need not just a place to leave your child but a place where you feel your child is treated like home. This school is a peace of mind for me, I can work calmly knowing that my child is well in this school. God bless you all and I would like to be part of this family until my son goes to 1st grade.

An amazing school, my daughter is back for her second year in PreK 4 and we couldn't be more pleased on how much she's learned. Teachers and staff set a loving nurturing environment where children learn so much while having fun. Best decision my husband and I ever made.

I am SO happy that we found this preschool for my son! My only regret is that we didn't discover it until he was 4 yrs old. I would've loved to enroll him as soon as he was old enough for the PreK-3 class. The entire staff at this school is just so warm and welcoming. And the curriculum is great. All of the children seem to love their classes and they have a lot of great, fun days. I have another baby and he'll be enrolled as soon as he's old enough!

The staff is so loving and caring! Due to Covid, things are different where you're not allowed to enter the building, but the teachers do a great job uploading and sending us photos of our kids to see how they are doing and their special events/activities in school/class! Highly recommend this amazing community! :)
