Q: Can I enroll my child at VRECS any time?

A: Yes. Enrollment at VRECS is ongoing as long as space is available.

Q: How much is Tuition?

A: Tuition information can be found in the registration packet.

Q: Do you offer any discounts?

A: Yes! We offer 10% off tuition for sibling(s).  To be eligible for the discount, the children must be registered in the school at the same time.  We also offer 10% off for children of clergy members. We participate in the NJ Child Care Assistance Program. Please CLICK HERE for more information. 

Q: I was not able to enroll my child because there was no space available. Can I be put on a waiting list?

A: Yes. To place your child’s name on the waiting list simply contact the Director and provide them with your child’s information.

Q: Are meals or snacks provided at VRECS?

A: Meals and snacks are not provided at VRECS due to allergy concerns. VRECS offers the option to have your child participate in Bagel Mondays and Pizza Fridays at an additional fee. Each lunch we offer includes a fruit or vegetable and a drink.

Q: Does VRECS have any restrictions on foods I can send in with my child?

A: VRECS is a nut free school. Please provide your child with lunch and snacks that do not contain nuts and are not made in a facility that contains nuts.

Q: Will someone at VRECS administer my child’s medication, if necessary?

A: VRECS staff will only disperse medication for life-threatening conditions. All staff at VRECS are CPR and First Aide Certified and are able to administer Epi-pens as well as Nebulizers.

Q: What is the adult to child ratio at VRECS?

A: VRECS meets or exceeds state regulations regarding adult to child ratios. For our Three year old program, the state requires a 1:10 ratio, but we keep ratios at 1:8 with a maximum of 16 children in our downstairs Pre-K3 and 14 in our upstairs Pre-K3. For our Four year old and Transitional Kindergarten programs, the state requires a 1:12 ratio, but we keep ratios at 1:10 with a maximum of 20 children in each room.

Q: How will I be informed about my child’s progress at VRECS?

A: Effective communication happens on an ongoing and daily basis. In addition, teachers will track your child’s development by using implementing formal and informal assessments. We review this information with you through Parent Teacher conferences. Of course, the Director and your child’s teachers are always available to speak with you at any time.

Q: What payment methods are accepted for tuition at VRECS?

A: VRECS accepts cash, check, or credit card (Visa or Mastercard) for payment. Payment by cash, check, bank account or debit card have no fees. Payment by credit card has a 2.99% convenience fee.
