There isn't a lot of spare time between working full-time, raising four children, and taking online classes, but with the little time I do have I enjoy playing outside with my children, reading novels that don't require a lot of thinking, and refurbishing furniture.

I played sports growing up, so I'm all game any time I can get my children to throw a ball or shoot some hoops. Plus, they love to know you're never too old to play like a kid.

The genre that I usually choose to read during free time is romance. They're easy to read, and they take me to another place without someone needing mommy.

Refurbishing furniture relaxes me, and I love to see an older piece of furniture come back to life. A few years ago I decided to update the style of my classroom. I was tired of the traditional desks always "eating" student work. I decided to remove the desks from my class and replace them with tables. All of the furniture in my classroom has been refurbished with my own style that offers a different seating arrangement for students.
