Citrus Hill High School is nestled in the heart of Mead Valley. As a part of the Val Verde Unified School District we serve students from Perris, Moreno Valley and Riverside. Our FFA program strives to work alongside our administration to accomplish our school mission of ensuring that all students achieve high levels of learning required for success in post-secondary education and training.
The FFA program utilizes the 3-Circle model of education to provide our students with as many learning opportunities as possible. The 3-circle model includes:
Classroom - traditional classroom setting work, utilizing hands on labs and activities to enhance learning.
SAE - Supervised Agricultural Experience projects - all students in an agriculture course should complete work on an SAE project throughout the year, allowing many ways to learn and apply classroom instruction to hands on projects. Examples of SAE project groups often utilized at The Hill can be found on our SAE Projects page!
FFA - All students in California that are enrolled in an agriculture science course at an affiliated program are considered a member of the FFA organization. Through the FFA organization students can attend leadership conferences, learn and practice real-life career skills through CDE and LDE competitions, explore their learning on field trips and tours, and make friends with other members from all across the state.Â
