Senior High Jazz Band

The Senior High Jazz Band will consist of students in grades 9-12. This class meets during sixth period and is OPTIONAL. We encourage all students to join Jazz Band, but students are required to be enrolled in Senior Band (7th period) if they plan to be in Jazz Band (6th period). Students must use both elective credits to take both Senior Band & Jazz Band.

In addition to continuing the improvement of their basic musical skills, students in Jazz Band will learn about jazz theory, improvising, and more. Students are required to participate in all-region & all-state auditions when applicable. In addition to our winter and spring concerts, students will be required to participate in other music activities as needed.
