Beginning Band

Beginning Band will consist of beginners and some second-year students. This band is split into three class periods: percussion class, woodwind class, and brass class. Instruction will be provided in rhythm counting, music notation, tone production, instrument maintenance, and other aspects of performance and understanding in conjunction with the state guidelines for music education. Students may be required to participate in solo/ensemble assessment. There will be two concerts throughout the year that students are required to attend; one winter concert and one spring concert.
