Everything you need to know to lead/advise your student org successfully!
Student Organization Leadership:
On behalf of Student Activities & Involvement and the Involvement Team at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, we extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to you for playing a vital role in the sustainability of our student organizations. Your commitment to serving as a part of org leadership has a remarkable impact on the success of our offices, student organizations, and most importantly our students.
The Student Organization Leadership Guide was designed to be used as a resource for both advisors and students alike. We created this resource to provide a way for student leaders and advisors to navigate the ins and outs of supporting a student organization; cover the policies and roles an advisor has within a student organization; and provide information around policies and procedures impacting student organizations. This manual was also created to help advisors navigate their roles and provide suggestions for practices Student Activities & Involvement found to benefit the advisor-student org relationship if implemented.
We do hope many questions will be answered by this manual. However, the Involvement Team understands as policies, procedures, and student orgs themselves changed there will be some questions not covered within this document. Please reach out to the Involvement Team at any point for more information or answers which are not addressed.
Congratulations again on your decision to lead/advise a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student organization! We hope your experience is a fulfilling and rewarding one. Please do not hesitate to reach out for advice or questions! We are all here to support you and those you are advising.
Sincerely,
Student Activities & Involvement Staff
