The Involvement Office offers a variety of advertising and promotional support for student organizations. This includes the services offered through Connect. On Connect, student organizations are able to promotion themselves on their own portal. This portal lists the orgs meetings times & locations, social media platforms, contact information, rosters, documents, forms, and photos from their on-goings. SAI also has a bi-weekly newsletter, which orgs can submit a form on Connect here. Within this form student orgs are also able to request their flyers to be run on SAI’s digital signage as well as request email relays to contact fellow student organizations. Lastly, SAI encourages all student orgs to follow their social media platforms including; Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. These should be followed by their personal accounts and by any platforms their student org uses. This is too increase visibility of student org’s events, programs, and other on-goings throughout the year.

Printing options for student organizations include Student Activities & Involvement Printing service. This is mainly for black and white copying and can be done by contacting the front desk in SAI, letting them know which student organization you are with and then paying for B&W copies at a discounted price. If you have SUF monies for printing it will be recorded by the front desk and handled accordingly. Note: You can receive B&W copies on color paper, but we are unable to provide color copying at this time.
We’ve been asked to provide a note about printing org materials, specifically in the general access labs. The access labs are funded from the curriculum fees that exist related to your tuition, so it’s important to note that it’s expected that you are only printing things for class work in the general access labs. Student orgs should not be using those labs for printing your org materials, but if you need to make copies, you can do so in a number of different ways. Student Activities & Involvement will make black and white copies for groups. We bill you on a monthly basis and it’s at a discounted cost, so it’s not that expensive. Quick Copy, our campus’ copy center, is located in the lower level of the bookstore and you can pay cash there, or if you have an org code because you’re a SUF funded organization, they will also charge the fee directly to your SUF account. And then, the Media Lab, in the Andersen General Access Lab, does have some services provided for student organizations as well and they would charge cash right there on the spot.
Printing Service: a professional print shop on campus located in the lower level of the Moraine Bookstore, across from Textbook Rental. We also have a new, second location open at the recently opened Community Engagement Center, 1260 W. Main St.
Contact info: 262-472-1002 or printservices@uww.edu
As a student organization you are able to post print materials around campus in the University Center, academic buildings, the Williams Center, Center for the Arts, and the dining halls. Posters, flyers, and other print materials must only be hung in dedicated areas. Please be respectful of all spaces and always leave them cleaner than you found them. Also, be respectful when hanging your print materials, as to not cover or take down other’s materials. Only if a flyer information is out of date should you ever remove another’s material.
When creating flyers please keep in mind for SAI to print these for student organizations they must be ½ or ¼ of a full 8.5”x11” sheet of paper. Color copies will not be covered. Black & White copies can be purchased at cost and charged to your org's funds monthly.
When thinking about advertising and promoting your student org, think about ways to go above and beyond the standard flyer, tabling, and social media posts. Some examples previous orgs have done include; renting out the Mall and have Willie Warhawk help your org advertise, balloon signs, chalking large art work or massages on the mall, renting the mall for an impromptu performance, prize give-a-way on your social media accounts, progressive puzzle piece adverting (where pieces of who you are come out daily over a week), renting the spin wheel from SAI supply check out for tabling, and even sky writing.
