I see all of my students for two 1-hour segments. My first hour will be taught synchronously over Google Meet. The second hour will be
sort of asynchronous in that students are to be working at the same time, but not in a Google Meet. I, however, keep Google Meet open, waiting for questions, check-ins, and comments. In addition, I have offered on-campus drop-in opportunities in the lab during the 2nd hour. While that is going on, I've got Google Meet open waiting for students. After one week, I'm pleased with the response from students. The real proof will be when I check if they're progressing forward. Of course, my greatest fear is that I'll proceed with this, and students aren't taking advantage of that 2nd hour. As a result, I'll build in check-points. My students mean the world to me. I owe it to them to not drop the ball here.
