This page contains important information and needs to be read by all international students.
All students:
Passport copy
Very important: All students must provide an electronic copy of their passport (PDF scan) before arriving in Mostar in August.
If you have not sent your passport copy yet, please do so at your earliest convenience by emailing it to: admissions.coordinator@uwcmostar.ba
- The passport copy you send us has to be the same passport you will use to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina and get the border entry stamp.
- The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the requested residence permit period. In this case, until September 2028. If the passport is not valid until September 2028, you will need to start the process of your passport renewal in your country as soon as possible.
- EU CITIZENS: Students cannot travel to or enter BiH with an EU ID card. You must travel with a passport, because the residence permit sticker will be placed in your passport. This applies for the entire duration of schooling in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Students who do not need an entry visa:
Very important: Please make sure to get an entrance stamp at the border when you enter Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After entering Bosnia and Herzegovina, students must immediately take a photo of the entry stamp on their passport provided by the border police and send it to our Student Officer Arijana Alendar at arijana.alendar@uwcmostar.ba, so that the process for acquiring a white card can be done according to local regulations.
* Even if you are arriving before the Induction Week (for example, for holidays with your family), you still need to send us the entry stamp immediately after your entry to BiH.
* Students who do not send a photo of their entry stamp will have to bear the costs of the fine at their own expense.
The residence permit process is initiated upon arrival. Please see Section 2.
Students who need an entry visa:
The school will contact students who require an entry visa directly. We will initiate the process of obtaining student visas for those of you who need a visa for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Please do not attempt to secure a visa at any embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina before you get clear instructions from the College. Our Student Officer will soon contact you with all the instructions.
The College can not influence the final results or the duration of the visa process.

Upon arrival, all students will apply for a three-month temporary residence permit (White Card). The school will help you with this process.
You need to provide the following documents:
Please prepare all of the documents in hard copy. In the Induction Week, we will have a day for submitting these documents to our Student Officer.
Passport copy
Please see Section 1 for detailed instructions.
Parental Consent Form
Click on the link to download the document: Parental Consent Form
Important note: It needs to be completed and signed by both the student and parents/guardians, and be signed and stamped by a public notary or verified in the City Hall.
All minors must have a certified copy of the Parental Consent form while traveling to Mostar. Border officials may ask you to present the form; without it, you may not be granted entry into the country.
You need to bring two (2) certified copies when travelling to Mostar.
* Please note that the part of the statement referring to pocket money is included in this document solely to satisfy legal requirements, as it is a compulsory precondition for obtaining a residence permit in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
** If you hold more than one nationality, we recommend disclosing only one on the Parental Consent Form. This is because you may be required to submit additional documents, such as an official hard copy Certificate of Non-Criminal Record, for each nationality listed.
Certificate of Non-Criminal Record
Please read the instructions carefully.
The non-criminal record must be submitted as a hard copy, in original, with a stamp and signature from the relevant institution. An electronic copy will not be accepted.
The requirements for the Certificate of Non-Criminal Record differ by country. Please look HERE for the guidelines and the specific requirements for your country. You may require an apostille stamp or embassy legalization on the non-criminal record. The list of countries is divided into three groups. Please check the link to find your country and see what type of document you need to submit.
Preliminary Subject Choice Form
Please open and fill in the Preliminary subject choice form by 10.06.2026.
The preliminary choices are mandatory and are used to estimate numbers per subject when creating the timetable. The final subject choices will be made during the induction period. Some of the preferred choices may not be possible due to timetable constraints.
English Proficiency Form
Please open and fill in the English Proficiency Form by 10.06.2026.
All students, including native English speakers, need to complete the form.
Please open and fill in the Entry data form by 01.07.2026.
High School Transcripts
All students must submit high school transcripts for all years of high school in the original language in which transcripts were issued AND a translation of transcripts to English.
Your transcripts must:
Be translated into English
Be stamped and/or signed by your previous school
Be a PDF file and under 2 MB in size
You may translate the transcripts yourself and then ask your school to stamp and sign the translated version. However, an official translation is strongly recommended. While we understand that obtaining an official translation can sometimes be difficult and it is not strictly required, it is highly preferred.
Please send your transcripts to our University Counselors at the following email addresses: anja.kresojevic@uwcmostar.ba and adam.thomas@uwcmostar.ba
Please note not to send/give hard copies of transcripts to the university counseling office of UWC Mostar.
We require your high school transcripts for university applications. It is best to send them to us while you are still in your home country, as this makes the process of obtaining documents and translations much smoother.
If your transcripts are not finalized by August or if other circumstances are preventing immediate submission, the latest deadline to submit them is October 1st of your first year at UWC Mostar. That said, it would be best to submit your transcripts as soon as possible.

During the 2-year program at UWC Mostar, there are several breaks that our students generally use to travel and are away from the school residences or the City of Mostar. The College does not assume any legal responsibility for any adverse events that may happen during the trips that are self-organized by our students and not school-related. As a result, the College requires parental consent for the trips.
If you wish to give your consent for such trips for the duration of the 2-year program at UWC Mostar, please sign the form. If not, you are expected to send a written and signed consent for each trip of this nature.
