I am also a reviewer for the IFIP Working Group 9.4 Conference on the Implications of Information and Communication Technologies for Development May 2024.
I was the Local Chair for the ACM SIGCAS/SIGCHI on Computing and Sustainable Societies (ACM COMPASS, https://compass.acm.org/) COMPASS2023 Conference in August 2023.
I was a reviewer for the 9th Military Information and Communications Symposium of South Africa (MICSSA) in 2023.
I also served on the program committee of DESRIST 2023 (18th International Conference on the Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology) and the organising committee of the Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) Lekgotla in 2023.
I also served as a Track Chair at ACIST 2018 for the Health Information Systems track.
We will be working with the Department of Nursing to build Chatbots to address health challenges.
I've created a Diabetes Care Assistant Chatbot to assist with diabetes self-management, as seen on the left.
I've also been invited to be a part of the UWC Centre of Excellence for Food Security which includes international collaborations.
Applications submitted for Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP) Call on Democracy, Governance and Trust with colleagues in Brazil, Mexico, Canada and the UK where I’ll be a co-investigator.
I have been accepted as part of the Erasmus+ programme and will be visiting the University of Valladolid, Spain and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels to explore opportunities for international collaborations.
I was invited to speak at the 2020 Diabetes Technology Meeting on a session: Is digital health discriminatory? I was the only non-American speaker on the panel.
