I received the following institutional awards: 

• UWC Excellent Teaching Team Award (2023).

• Faculty of Economic Management Science (EMS) rising star award, as displayed on the left. 

• EMS faculty Innovative lecturer award in 2022.  

• EMS faculty Excellent Lecturer award in 2021. 

• Third place at the Teaching and Learning colloquium in 2019.

National awards:

• Shortlisted for the 2024 National University Teaching Awards (NUTA) in 2024.

International awards:

• Finalist in the 8th e-Learning Excellence Awards at the European Conference on e-Learning (ECEL) 2022. 

I believe that my teaching philosophy is aligned with the University’s IOP which is “to provide opportunities for an excellent learning and teaching experience that is contextually responsive to the challenges of globalisation and of a society in transition, and which enhances the students’ capacities to be change agents in the 21st century”.

The awards prove that my hard work and effort are delivering the desired learning outcomes.

Previous awards in the industry included being a silver award winner in the ‘Learning and Growth’ category at the Old Mutual Service Technology Administration (OMSTA) rewards and recognition event (2011).
