I was also the external examiner of a Masters thesis from UKZN (2022). I will be the external examiner for two more Masters theses this year at CPUT and The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (2024).

I was a keynote speaker and part of a panel discussion at Enterprise Forum, in partnership with ITWeb Brainstorm and BCX. Pioneering enterprises shaping the future of success Unlocking Value: Strategic Cost Optimisation for Real Results.
As a winner for the Wired4Women Mentor of the Year Award, I was also included in the 100 Influential Women in Tech 2004 Book.
I could not attend the event as I was travelling to Belgium as part of my internationalisation and Erasmus+.
The IITPSA Annual President’s Awards event is a major highlight of the year for many in the industry, combining prestigious long-standing awards (since 1979) with unparalleled networking opportunities. It is an event that highlights the talent and commitment of individuals within the ICT industry. Nominees include a number of prominent people in various spheres of the ICT industry in South Africa.
I was selected as a finalist for the IT Personality Award 2023. The IT Personality of the Year Award is presented by the IITPSA in association with ITWeb and the Gordon Institute of Business Science. It recognises a person who has made an outstanding impact on the SA ICT industry over the past year and a significant contribution to the IT profession.
Previous awards in the industry included being a silver award winner in the ‘Learning and Growth’ category at the Old Mutual Service Technology Administration (OMSTA) rewards and recognition event (2011) and Customer Solutions CIO and National Winner – Old Mutual Female Entrepreneur Role Model Competition (2007).
I am the EMS representative on the Employment Equity Committee (2024 - ) and EE Forum Task Team (2025).
In the first quarter of 2020, I was appointed to fulfil the EMS Assessment Committee (EMSAC) Deputy Chair position, a position usually held by senior members of staff. I was also a member of the Senate Assessment Committee (SAC) until 2023.

The feedback was largely positive, noting that several leadership skills are evident.
