A student wishing to change a programme (e.g. change his or her the degree from a structured Masters to a Masters by thesis) must:
Provide a detailed letter indicating the reason for the termination of studies
Apply for admission to the new programme
Follow the usual selection processes of the faculty
Terminate the registration of the current programme if successful in the new programme
Inform all bursars and funders of the change.
If a student wishes to transfer research completed under the previous supervisor, permission to do so must be obtained from the supervisor and the faculty. Such terminations must serve at the FHD for ratification, before the termination documents are completed with central administration.
