College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs, pronounced 'kay-ders') refer to the minimum number of credits in the 6 core subject areas (Math, English, Social Science, Science, Art, World Language) that high school students must earn to be eligible for admission consideration by four-year public baccalaureate institutions. Students admitted to the Robinson Center do not complete high school, so most do not have these CADRs completed prior to enrolling at UW. Robinson Center students are provided admission to the UW despite their CADR admissions deficiencies, but are required to complete CADRs through college-level coursework within 2 years (6 academic quarters not including summer) after they are admitted. Students who do not maintain an up-to-date CADR Completion Plan and/or fail to complete their CADRs within this two year timeline will be prohibited from registering from future courses and put themselves at risk of being dropped from their major. 

UW Academy students enter UW with the CADRs they completed during their 2 years of high school.  Transition School students will enter UW with the CADRs they completed during their TS year (English, Science, Math, Social Science). 

All RC students are expected to work with the RC Advisor to have an up-to-date CADR completion plan on file. Students can read more about the types of courses that fulfill CADRs at the college level. 

The RC Scholars CADR Approved Class List can be found on the Student List of CADR Courses. If you have any questions, please communicate with us as early as possible to ensure you have an established plan to satisfy all CADR requirements.

Incoming first year RC scholars will receive their CADR sheet a few weeks into the Autumn quarter of their first year (prior to Winter Quarter course registration).
