Trinity Terlaje is a third-year student from the island of Guåhan/Guam and is pursuing a Biochemistry major and Bioethics & Humanities minor at the University of Washington. While taking classes under Professor Amal al-Wahish, her passion for physics grew while learning about its application in medical knowledge surrounding typical human physiology. She applies wave theoretical frameworks while assisting in EEG research studying relationships between auditory brain activity and speech/language in children. She is also the Co-Conference Chair for the UW Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students and leads in the event-planning of initiatives which seek to diversify healthcare and increase the representation of underrepresented minority communities. Outside of school, she enjoys barbecues at the beach with her family, watching k-dramas, and trying out new sports with her friends.
