Supporting underrepresented groups and first-generation students in the University of Washington Physics department
The Climate and Diversity Committee at the University of Washington (UW) Physics Department is pleased to offer a workshop for all UW affiliates interested in supporting underrepresented groups and first-generation students in physics. The workshop will consist of talks, panel discussions, and informal discussions. The majority of the talks will be directed at all career levels, with a focus on undergraduates. Attendees will have opportunities to network and discuss current issues.
When: Friday May 3, 2024 - 2:30-8:30pm

Eligibility: All current UW undergraduates, graduates, postdoctoral researchers, staff, and faculty are welcome to register.
Registration: Free and mandatory

The workshop will take place in the UW Physics/Astronomy Auditorium (PAA). Registration and check-in will be in the PAA lobby.
The Physics/Astronomy premises are located on the North-East corner of the intersection of 15th Ave NE and NE Pacific Street. The physical address of the buildings is 3910 15th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98195-1560.
