Launch the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser on your computer or tablet. (Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended for Canvas training to ensure all tasks can be completed without issue. One of those browsers is required for students when assignments begin.)
Type carefully and enter the following web address for the onboarding course in the address field of the browser. (Read the note below for tips that might help you type the long web address correctly. Refer to the screenshot at the bottom of the page if you are not sure where to enter the address.)

NOTE:
The web address that you have to enter is long but if you understand what's in between the backslashes, the address is more meaningful and might be easier to enter:
https:// -- The "s" after "http" (i.e., https) indicates the website is secure
sites.google.com -- Indicates the website is a Google Site (i.e., a website created with Google's site-creation tool)
uview.academy -- The name of our UVA Google server
uva-on-boarding-course -- The hyphenated name of this course
phase-ii-canvas-training -- The hyphenated name for this phase of the course ("Phase II - Canvas Training")
lets-log-in-students -- The hyphenated title of the next page in the onboarding course, which is where you will land after typing the web address in your computer's browser.
The address field for a Chrome browser window on a PC or an Android tablet is shown in the partial screenshot below. (Edge will look similar.)
