This course deepened my understanding of the regulatory and quality standards that govern diverse healthcare delivery systems, allowing me to critically evaluate their rationale, implementation burden, and overall effectiveness. I applied principles of organizational management, ethics, economics, and improvement science to assess and design quality and safety initiatives. The integration of leadership theory, systems thinking, and strategic communication reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing evidence-based improvements. Additionally, I examined the impact of health disparities, institutional racism, and systemic inequities on patient outcomes and care quality, further strengthening my commitment to fostering equitable, high-reliability healthcare environments.
