i. Develop a Proposal for Action to Serve the Need in the Community
Things to consider:
What issue are you addressing?
Who is your target audience?
What is your goal (what do you want to change or improve)?
What type of service are you doing? (Direct, Indirect, Advocacy, or Research)
Why does this project matter to your community?
What is your interest towards this issue?
ii. Plan and Record the Development Process of the Project
Create an action plan/checklist to keep track of deadlines (both self-created and in ManageBac).
Possible places to keep track of tasks:
Google Calendar: Google Calendar helps to visualize the timeline of the project. Tasks can be scheduled as events with reminders, making it easier to manage time and avoid delays.
Google Docs: Using Google Docs helps to create a clear written action plan in list or checklist form.Useful for outlining tasks week by week, and making quick updates.
Notion: Notion helps combine a to-do list, calendar, and notes in one place (and more!). It supports both planning and reflection, making it useful for documenting the development process.
Trello: Trello helps to organize tasks using a digital board format (columns like “To Do,” “Doing,” “Done”). Good for collaboration and progress tracking through checklists and due dates.
Canva: Offers action plan templates (as examples).
Add pictures/links in your Project Proposal and Presentation as evidence.
Possible things to include in the action plan:
Tasks
Deadlines
Roles
Resources needed
Roles (if working in a group)
Status (Completed, In Progress, Not Started)
iii. Demonstrate Self-Management Skills
Write your Before, During and After reflections for a specific Self-management Skill!
