Welcome to Utah Online School! We know online learning can feel different from a traditional classroom, so this page answers some common questions to help students and families get started and be successful.
If you still have questions, please reach out. I am happy to help!
Students will receive an automatic enrollment email with instructions for accessing their course.
Please check your:

If you are having trouble accessing your course, contact your teacher or UOS support.
Start by:
Logging into your course.
Reviewing the Home Page and Course Information.
Reading the syllabus/disclosure and course expectations.
Checking the course calendar and deadlines.
Beginning the first lesson or assignment.
Taking time to understand the course expectations will help you be successful.
Assignments are located inside your online course.
Students should:
Follow the course modules/units in order.
Review instructions carefully.
Check for required materials or examples.
Complete assignments by the expected deadlines.
Each assignment will include submission instructions.
Depending on the assignment, you may submit:
A Google link
A written response
A video response
A project submission
Always double-check that your work was successfully submitted. The art department uses google- so always check the share settings
Use clear file names so your teacher can easily identify your work.
A good example:
FirstName_LastName_AssignmentName
Example:
AmandaCampos_LogoProject
Students should regularly check their course grade and progress.
Monitoring your progress helps you:
Know what assignments are complete
Identify missing work
Stay on pace
Ask for help early
Actual Grade:
Your grade based only on the assignments you have completed and submitted.
Relative Grade:
A progress-based grade that considers both completed work and assignments that should have been completed by that point in the course.
Incomplete or missing assignments may affect your Relative Grade.
Students should focus on completing work consistently and staying on pace.
Grades are updated according to UOS procedures. Generally that is on TUESDAY. Please allow time for assignments to be graded and transferred into PowerSchool.
If you have questions about a grade, contact your teacher.
The best way to get help is to contact your teacher by email or text.
