Learning Resource Center Access

In order to access the Learning Resource Center's (LRC), USU's library, Electronic Resources, you must have an LRC user account and a USU Single Sign On (USU-SSO) account.

To sign into the LRC website:

1. Visit the public-facing LRC Home website: https://usuhs.libguides.com/home

2. On the LRC Home website, click on the USU Main button 

3. At the USU Single Sign On page, use either the Username and Password fields (with your USU-SSO account credentials) or the CAC Sign In option.

If you are unable to sign in with your USU-SSO, you may need to register for a LRC account, directions are below.

To obtain a LRC user account, you must have an affiliation with the Department of Surgery.  

Affiliations that will grant you access to the LRC:

• Staff or Contractors assigned to the Department

• Faculty Member in the Department
  (details on becoming a faculty member can be found on the Faculty Appointment and Promotion page)

• Alumni of USU

• Henry Jackson Foundation employee but not assigned to a USU program

• Residents, Fellows or Program Directors in the National Capital Consortium

Once you have an affiliation, please go to the LRC Registration Page.

Please choose the best option that fits you:

• Uniformed Services University, choose this if you are a student, faculty member or staff

• USU Postgraduate Dental College, this should not apply to members of Surgery

• USU Alumni - All Schools, choose this if you graduated from USUHS

• USU Distance Learning Programs or Tropical Medicine Course, this should not apply to members of Surgery.

• Henry Jackson Foundation (not assigned to a USU program), this should not apply to members of Surgery.

• National Capital Consortium,  choose this if you are an intern, resident, fellow or Program Director in the NCC.

Please answer the questions to the best of your ability.

Role: Choose the role that best describes you.

Employment Status: Choose the best answers that applies to you.  If you are a non-billeted faculty member, please choose other and indicate you are a non-billeted faculty.

Which School: Please choose "School of Medicine (Medical or Graduate)" if you are a member of Surgery.

Uniformed Service Branch: Choose the best answer that best describe your military status.

Are you a Physician: Choose the best answer and include your field of specialization if you are a physician.

USUHS Department.Program abbreviation: Please choose "SUR"

After filling out the form, please be sure to email SUR-Dept-POC@usuhs.edu so we are aware you applied from a LRC account and will approve the request if any questions arises.
