The Exertion - Individual Experiences

PLATA, Patricia:

Back when I was in 8th grade, I volunteered as a representative to play Table Tennis against my fellow batchmates during intrams. I’ve never played Table Tennis before, but I had no choice since no one is volunteering for that category. My Physical Education teacher taught me the basics and familiarized me with the sport so that I’ll have the idea on how to play it before the intramurals. I had a hard time learning the sport which made me nervous but in the end it became a fun experience and I definitely enjoyed playing it.

REYES, Reign:

When I was a junior high school student I became part of the varsity team of our school. I am a player of the badminton team for 3 consecutive years so I have an experience in playing sports. Though I don’t have an experience playing table tennis, I have friends who are a player of it and they told me that it was hard. While performing the basics of the table tennis for our HOPE class, I did have a hard time to do the correct posture because it is different in badminton. But, it is also a fun and exciting experience and hopefully in the future, I will also have the opportunity to learn and play it as my sport.

SALCEDO, Josh:

Back when I was in the 9th Grade in Junior High School, we had Table Tennis as a topic for one whole quarter in Physical Education. At first, I was very nervous about playing the sport. However, as time went by, I quickly managed to learn how to play while enjoying it at the same time. Through this sport, I improved my body coordination, critical thinking, and timing.

SONTOUSIDAD, Sherry:

Way back in Junior High School, my physical activities revolved only around two sports, which are badminton and football since I was a player in those two sports. But even so, I am still familiar with Table Tennis since my cousins and I played that for fun during our childhood days. Based on experience, I can say that Table Tennis is harder to play than badminton because I am not used to a small racket or paddle. It may be hard to learn but this sport is very fun to play. Overall, I enjoyed performing and learning Table Tennis.
