Table tennis is quite popular as a recreational game, and it is played in a variety of sports clubs, social clubs, and gaming rooms, as well as in the house and even outside when the weather is sufficiently calm.

Table tennis’ equipment are relatively Simple and Inexpensive:

• Paddles = The paddle is made of wood, is flat and firm, and could be covered with a thin coating of ordinary stippled, or pimpled, rubber that is layered over a thin layer of sponge rubber with the pimples inverted. Each of the two sides of a paddle must be different in color.

• Ping pong ball = 0.09 ounce (2.7 grams)

• Ping pong table = Is rectangular with a size of 9 feet by 5 feet (2.7 meters by 1.5 meters)

• Net = 6 feet (1.8 meters) long, and its upper edge along the whole length is 6 inches (15.25 cm) above the playing surface.
