Students will be working on three of the standards that would have been covered in regular classes. They will work at their own pace to complete assignments in order to give them ample time to do work from other classes.
Students will receive weekly work over energy and waves. A typical week will have 1 video, 1 google form, and 1 assignment. Week 3 and week 6 will have a small project to complete.
There is an optional test re-take assignment for the Chemical Reactions test if students would like to improve their grade on that.

The Biology teachers have decided on five topics that we will be covering for the last portion of the year. There will be five required assignments that will consist of case studies, guided reading articles, etc. The topics will include: Evolution, Viruses, Ecology, Environment and Energy. The students will be given one required assignment each week and they will also be given other enrichment materials like videos, articles, games and links to helpful websites.
Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom on Mondays to be completed by the following Monday
Timeline: One assignment a week for five weeks.

We will cover the highlights of a normal 4th quarter in Chemistry I. The typical weekly assignment will be to view one or two videos and complete one or two written assignments. If students have difficulties they can contact me by email about anytime between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. I will be especially tentative to my emails during office hours.

Assignments will be due on Friday of each week. The student will submit them by photographing each page and emailing the pages to me.
Students should start the written assignment(s) by Wednesday of each week to allow plenty of time to contact me and get help if they have trouble.

We will be covering three units of botany. They will include Introduction to plants, basic plant structures, and plant reproduction. Each unit will contain notes and a five question quiz. Each unit is scheduled to take about two week a piece, all due dates are listed in Google Classroom.

The last Unit that will be covered will be Weather and Climate. My goal is to not make meteorologists and climatologists out of you but want you to understand meteorologists weather forecasts and weather maps as well as make informed healthy decisions when it comes to the climate of our Earth. The following 3 topics will be our main focus.
1. The 1st thing to understanding weather and global climate is the relationship between the Earth and the Sun
2. Understanding regional weather and United States weather patterns
3. Global Climate has been in the news and has been a global debate for years

Students will get 1-2 videos to watch every week along with an assignment. These will be over waves, Coulomb’s Law, and Ohm’s Law. One of the weeks they will have a project over the electromagnetic wave spectrum.
