The AHS Pep Band is an auditioned group that plays at girls and boys basketball games. Pep Band is open to all band members in grades 9 - 12. Each member must commit to attending 80% of the scheduled basketball games. 

Auditions take place before school after marching season is completed. There are two evening rehearsals that take place in November before basketball season begins. 

Wind players will audition by playing the AHS Fight Song. Drumset and electric bass players will audition on different pieces in contrasting styles from the pep band folder. This is to demonstrate stylistic technique. 

The schedule to the left is reflective of what a typical pep band season looks like. Information will be updated in October 2023 for the 2023-2024 season.
