Favorite Quotes of Week 1
EDPUZZLE - I currently use YouTube videos and often pause them for discussion or answers. I love that I can use Edpuzzle to allow the students the opportunities to answer the questions and I can see everyoneโs thinking. I especially will be using this in math. I love the option to have the videos pause to solve the problems before the video shows them the answers. It provides me with instant feedback on all of my students without them being able to look at others answers.
EDPUZZLE - I didn't realize that Edpuzzle now has an option to screen record! This will be a game changer for my Modern Classroom work.
BRAINPOP - I love the ease of BrainPOP. I also love that there are choices available and that the articles have immersive reader. BrainPOP makes it easy to scaffold.
FLIP - I've used FlipGrid, now Flip before. I appreciate the updates and overall systemic changes they've made. For example it is now super easy for kids to record, edit, and customize the videos all in one step instead of having to navigate the whole interface. I hope to use this as a way for my EL kids to listen to and engage in a different discussion format which will help prepare them for the KELPA.
SEESAW - Having families connected to Seesaw is a great way to communicate. All of the families in my classroom are connected and I'm quickly able to send a message out to the parents. I also love that it provides them a portfolio of work that their student has accomplished throughout the year.
Weโre just beginning, friends, and there are several opportunities available/yet to come. Weโre cheering you all on and are loving the goodness youโre sharing on the Brag Board. By sharing your creations and discoveries through these challenges, youโre inspiring all the players. Thank you!!
