Importing Citations from GALE

Select any of the Gale databases using the link below. Locate 2 sources on a similar subject of your choosing and import the provided citations to NoodleTools. Once finished, share the complete MLA project with the Teacher Librarian via NoodleTools.

*Please use the High School tab

1. Log into NoodleTools

2. Create a new project with the title Citation Extend, MLA, Advanced

3. Export 2 citations from a GALE Database on a similar topic to NoodleTools

a. Select an article which meets your topic requirements

b. Select the Cite icon Figure 1

c. Select NoodleTools in the Export To: dropdown menu and Export Figure 2

d. Ensure the correct project is selected from the NoodleTools import screen & check the citation for major errors

e. Select Import References Figure 3

f. Repeat steps a-e once more until you have located 2 database articles

4. From NoodleTools select the Dashboard tab for the Citation Extend project

5. Under Sharing and collaboration, enter "Citation Extension" in the Project Inbox: section (it should quickly prompt you with the correct inbox)

6. Select the ✓Done button
