School bus service is maintained to provide transportation for eligible residents. All students who ride a school bus have a responsibility to be considerate of the comfort and safety of others, as well as themselves. Riding the school bus is a privilege. This privilege may be suspended or revoked as a result of inappropriate behavior. Because the safety of all students is of primary importance, the following infractions WILL NOT be tolerated, including but not limited to:
Improper boarding/deboarding procedures (no running, pushing, shoving, etc.)
Bringing objectionable/injurious articles onto the bus
Failure to remain seated; failure to sit in assigned seat (please wear seatbelt at all times)
Rude, discourteous, or annoying behavior
Throwing objects in or out of the bus
Refusing to obey the driver
Fighting, pushing, tripping
Tampering with bus equipment
Gum chewing or eating food
Lighting matches, smoking, use of fireworks
Spitting or littering
Unnecessary noise (no screaming, yelling, shouting, etc.)
Hanging out of the bus window (do not put head, arms, feet, hands, etc. out of the windows)
Destruction of property
Other behavior relating to the safety, well-being and respect for others
The safety of our students is a paramount concern. When waiting for the bus you should adhere to the guidelines below:
Be at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time.
Do not stand or play in the road.
Never run to or from the bus.
Wear your seatbelt - It's the law!
Items left on the bus will be returned to the student next time they get on the bus, or they will be brought to the Main Office.
ALL students must ride their assigned bus. NO student is permitted to ride any bus other than their assigned bus. Any bus change requests must be made in writing to the transportation office, and will require a 48 hour minimum to make the necessary changes.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation!
