Course Description: 

The focus of this curriculum is to increase personal awareness of health and wellness. Each student will be challenged to reflect on lifestyle choices, and how they influence their quality of life. This course is a Washington State Graduation Requirement .

Family Health Curriculum:

Major topics and content: knowledge and skills to maintain an active life; patterns of growth and development, reducing health risks; analysis and evaluation of real-life influences on health. Specifics include mental health and coping skills; nutrition; physical fitness; CPR; drug/alcohol education; and human sexuality, including HIV/AIDS.
