The Department of Studio Arts accepts applications to the DSA minor programs from students who are
Duly matriculated in a bachelor's degree program.
In residence for the past two semesters, with at least 30 units earned.
In good standing, with a GWA of 2.50 or better.
All applicants are required to bring a portfolio of works with them during a panel interview once their online submissions detailed below are verified for eligibility. The portfolio guidelines can be found here.
All applicants are required to submit the following through the online application form:
Scanned or photo of UP ID saved in .png format with no less than 150 dpi.
Latest, SRE verified record of grades (RoG) showing the GWA, and the number of electives within the program of study, in .pdf format.
The total number of elective units in the student's program of study must be equal to or higher than the total number of units of the chosen DSA minor program.
A signed and endorsed letter of intent in essay form and submitted in .pdf format

Department of Studio Arts, College of Fine Arts
Consisting of 350- 600 words,
Clearly stating the chosen program, the reasons for choosing the program; and, plans for pursuing the program in terms of medium, materials, themes, and elective course options.
This must be signed by the applicant at the end of the essay, endorsed by the program adviser and department chair, and approved by the college secretary.
Applicants from other units and colleges, whose application document submissions are verified to be complete and qualified according to the panel interview and portfolio review will undertake the minor program entrance test.
