An application letter would be handed to the DSAPG members on the ingress day. It is a formal letter with the applicant's full name, student number, choice of BFA program, and one or two paragraphs providing a brief background on the portfolio submitted. This must be addressed to:

A declaration of artistic and academic integrity certifying that all works in the portfolio are made by the applicant. It should state the following:

I am aware that the use of someone else's work without permission or acknowledgement is wrong.

A portfolio of exactly eleven (11) original works evidencing the applicant's interest and inclination towards their chosen program, with the following specifications:
Four (4) works created as first year level coursework. These are artwork numbers 1-4.
Four (4) works created as second year level coursework. These are artwork numbers 5-8.
Two (2) works created outside of coursework. These are artwork numbers 9 & 10.
One (1) created specifically for this application, encompassing the applicant's interests and plans. This is artwork #11.
Works submitted must be no smaller than 12" × 18". Smaller works might be submitted if it is in a series and the total dimension of the series is no less than 12" × 18".
All artwork must be numbered. The numbers must be visible at the lower right corner of each work in a label.

Applicants will be emailed the results of the portfolio presentation regardless if they were offered a slot in the BFA programs or not.
