The BFA (Painting) and BFA (Sculpture) programs accepts applications from AA (Studio Arts) program graduates and graduating students provided they satisfy the following conditions:
Completion of AA (Studio Arts) degree as evidenced by a diploma or certificate of graduation; or,
Completion of at least 57 units of their AA (Studio Arts) program and enrollment of the rest of the 18 units as evidenced by their True Copy of Grades (TCG), UP Form 5, and be in the list of graduating students released by the Student Records Evaluator on or before the deadline of application; and,
Have a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.25 or better.
All applicants are required to present a portfolio of works. The guidelines for presentation can be found here.
Other requirements that need to be submitted through the online application form are:
Scanned or photo of UP ID saved in .png format with no less than 150 dpi.
A signed and endorsed statement of intent in essay form and submitted in .pdf format
Consisting of 350- 600 words
Clearly stating the chosen program, the reasons for choosing the program; and, plans for pursuing the program in terms of medium, materials, themes, and elective course options.
Request the advise and endorsement of two (2) faculty members —one or both should be current or former teachers in the AA (Studio Arts) program courses.
This must be signed by the applicant at the end of the essay, followed by the signatures of faculty members endorsing the student's application.
