For F2F registration, you may visit the EnE Office at room 320 at the EgyE and EnE Building at Pardo de Tavera St., UP Campus.
The building is situated near the following landmarks in UPD: PAUW-UP (with the playground), the Executive House (white house of UPD), and the Institute of Civil Engineering Building (ICE).Kindly use this google link for the location. Please note that the last day of registration is on AUGUST 16, 2024. Extension is not always given unless it is announced by OUR through their channels (CRS and website).
Kindly check CRS for updated announcements and instructions on different payment options.
ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE:
Here are the steps for registration:
a) Complete your requirements or settle your accountabilities/deficiency - If you have some accountabilities/deficiency, kindly settle this first.
b) Update your student profile in CRS
c) Pre-advising – Contact the Program Coordinator/ Adviser any of your concerns. Make sure to send the Program Coordinator your updated PoS and obtain her signature. You can discuss your academic concerns (e.g. what subjects to take or need changes) with the Program Coordinator or with your adviser. For administrative-related concerns, please approach any EnE staff and/or NGSE.
d) Enlistment – Based on your PoS, enlist the courses for the semester. If there are changes in your enlisted subjects, contact the Program Coordinator if there is a need to cancel an enlisted class.
e) Validation - If all subjects have been enlisted, proceed to the validation step (simply lock it) through CRS.
f) Post-advising – Contact the Program Coordinator for this step. Always attach your signed and approved Plan of Study (PoS) when you send the email to the coordinator for post-advising.
g) Assessment - For ERDT scholars, OUR will perform this step. After assessment, you can view your form 5 already. For non-EDRT scholars, NGSE will perform this step.
h) Payment and Verification – Using CRS, go to "Settlement of Outstanding balance" to create a payment slip. In that same module, you will also see the payment procedures. After payment, the verification step involves uploading the receipt in the same CRS module where you created your payment slip. Here is the alternative option to upload proof of payment. You may also refer to their fb page for any announcements or details you need for payments.
To pay directly at the Cashier's office, bring with you the printed form 5. Kindly get a copy of Form 5 from the EnE admin office. After payment, you will automatically be verified as well. Check your CRS if your status is ENROLLED or REGISTERED.
i) Print/View Form 5 – Will automatically be reflected in your CRS after payment and verification.
OTHER CONCERNS OR INQUIRIES:
For Coursework (Non-thesis subjects)
Pre-enlisted subjects
If you have subjects that you want to add/remove/cancel/change, contact the EnE admin staff (Omar, Michelle) for this step
Waitlisted subjects
If there are EnE subjects that no longer have slots, contact first the professor offering the course whether they are open in accepting additional students in their class. If the professor confirmed the extra slots, contact the Program Coordinator to add slot(s) via CRS.
ES subjects - the ES classes are handled by the Institute of Civil Engineering. If you would like to be enlisted in an ES class that is already full, send an email to Kuya Omar and specify what class and section you would like to be enlisted in. The names of the waitlisted EnE students will be submitted to the ES coordinator for their approval. Take note that this is not a guarantee that you will be given slots or sections.
ENE subjects not offered
There will be EnE courses that will be offered next semester. During pre-advising, you may ask the Program Coordinator or your thesis adviser for an alternative subject. The following reasons why the EnE course(s) was not offered are: no demand when a survey was conducted or no available professor to offer the course this semester. If there are several students that would need to take that subject, prepare a letter of appeal addressed to the Program Coordinator and signed by all interested students. In the letter, it should indicate the preferred schedule and the list of students who will enlist in the course. Note that the required class size is at least 5 students for a course.
Taking non-ENE subjects
If you need to take non-EnE subjects (e.g. ChE, IE, GmE), questions about these courses outside the EnE program should be coursed through the other departments. If you can, please inquire with the respective departments if there are prerequisites.
For Residency,
Before applying for residency, discuss the progress of your study with your thesis/dissertation adviser.
You can enroll for residence if:
a) Completed all non-thesis subjects and have taken the first 3 units of EnE 300/400 but with no proposal defense.
b) Completed with your thesis proposal but currently doing research to complete your thesis/dissertation study or doing manuscript writing
If you are not sure about enrolling for residency, discuss it first with your adviser or program coordinator.
For tagged as "No adviser yet" as delinquencies
Please do seek first advise from the Program Coordinator and please check if you have answered the research topic survey.
For Readmission, LOA and late payments
If your CRS reflects late Payments (e.g. LOA, Loans, etc), settle it first before proceeding to enrollment. You can inquire about the proper procedure at NGSE.
The application for LOA and Readmission can be done online (CRS).
*For your guidance, you can use the NGSE Online Procedure (2020 version) or you can check out OUR for processes and CRS quick links.
We will send another email if there will be additional reminders regarding enrollment period.
Thank you! Keep safe and calm :)
