FAQs before and during Registration Period
Ano po mga subjects na i-ooffer?
-Kindly check from time to time po sa CRS. We are finalizing the classes/subject to be offered at the same time since there is a new program coordinator, currently listing down faculty profiles and their preferred subjects to teach.
Most probably during the regular enrolment period na po ito.
-Ang EnE 300/400 ay ino-open during the regular enrolment period. As advised by Dr. Rollon before, hindi agad-agad ino-open ang EnE 300/400 due to tendency ay mag-enlist ang mga students agad-agad ng wala pang pre-advising (from research adviser or program coordinator).
Yung cases na for some students -- already took the first half (3 units) of EnE 300/400 but hindi pa nakapagproposal.
If not, for full-time students possible na magresidency muna or yung part-time pwede mag file ng LOA or magresidency rin.
Paano ang Readmission from AWOL/LOA?
-We will still follow the steps from NGSE procedures.
Some of the links sa file are missing or error kapag clinick. you can email the NGSE for these forms.
ngse@coe.upd.edu.ph or ngse.staff@coe.upd.edu.ph
During enrolment, if nakatag pa rin kayo sa CRS. We will try to waive it sa NGSE. Ang pag-aassign ng adviser is not always what you preferred, nakadepende rin sa topic niyo. There are also some faculty would like to discuss first with your topic bago nila tanggapin. Kaya waive is more plausible during the enrolment na nakatag kayo na wala pang adviser.
Pwede po ba magresidency*?
ine-enlist po ang residence kapag complete na ang courseworks (non-thesis subjects) and need makapagenroll during the semesters. madalas tinatake ito ng mga on-going thesis na hindi pa nakakapagdefend at mga ERDT scholars.
If ERDT scholars and wala na kayong non-thesis coursework, Yes it is required.
If you work part-time, it will depend on your purpose. Some company would seek enrolment proof? Para mabigyan ng incentives? Or excuse from work? Something like that. Or take LOA para hindi ma-AWOL. As commented by other students, mas mahirap magpareadmit kapag AWOL kaysa LOA.
Residency is being enrolled because of:
-magcocomplete ng INC ; magdedefend ; need ng library access (medical, etc)
*You can enroll in residency within the semester. So you do not need to panic but do not forget na mageenroll kayo or magfile ng LOA para hindi po ma-AWOL
FFAQs (Follow-Up Frequently Asked Questions) During and So on Registration Period
Kailan deadline ng payment?
Kindly check from CRS announcement. It will depend. Most of the time sinasabay nila ito sa deadline ng withdrawal/changemat
May accountability po ako, ano gagawin ko?
-Depende po sa accountability, common accountabilities are:
Unfinished transaction – hindi pa napopost-advise or hindi naverify or hindi pa bayad yung previous enrolment. Kindly finish the steps po.
Lack of Document – kindly contact OUR or submit the requested document.
No adviser yet – if you have answered the survey and wala pa sa inyong naaassign na adviser, we can waive it sa NGSE. The survey is a proof na nagseek naman kayo ng adviser, sa ngayon ay wala pang na-aassign.
How to withdraw subjects na naenrol?
Kung hindi pa na-aassess (yung after post-advising) we can still cancel it or revert your status to enlistment ulit.
Kung n-aassess na (pero hindi pa nakakapagcreate ng payment slip), we can still try to revert it back naman BUT kung nakapagcreate na kayo ng payment slip, we need to complete the steps. Then changeMat.
Depending on the demand, previously we try to appeal to EnE program coordinator something like that na i-open ang ganitong subject through letters.
take note that, kahit nameet natin ang number of students there are other factors to consider kung mai-open ito gaya ng availability ng magtuturo.
The letter must contain: the subject the student wants to enroll in, list of names of the students who will SURELY enroll for that subject with their signature and degree (MS or PhD). We are avoiding dissolving subjects due to not meeting the minimum required class size. For EnE graduate programs, a minimum of 5 per class (5 MS). There are times we appeal to OUR for exemption as long as there is one(1) PHD student and 2 MS.
