Jeremy Barns

CESO III and Director, National Museum of the Philippines

Currently the Director of the National Museum of the Philippines and Chairman of the Governing Board of the SEAMEO Regional Center for Arcaheology and Fine Arts.

Director Barns is an ex-officio commissioner of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. He serves as Trustee of the Escuela Taller de Filipinas Foundation and Sugbu Chinese Heritage Foundation.

He has served as Director of the Presidential Museum at the Office of the President of the Philippines and a Program Officer, Reserach and Analyst at the Asian Institute of Management.

He hold a Masters degree in Economics from De La Salle University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.

Barns obtained a Certificate in Chinese (Mandarin) Language Studies from Fudan University and a Certificate in Russian Language Studies from St. Petersburg State University.
