The summit will tackle concerns on Culture, Learning, Art, Design, Environment and Science (CLADES) in relation to natural history museums and collections in the Philippines.

Aside from providing a glimpse on the state of the art of natural history collections and museums in the country both in the national and local levels, the summit will raise awareness on new findings by organizations which would serve as inputs to the management and operations of museums.

These new information, aside from becoming part of the participants’ input for professional growth, will also serve as idea catalysts that can be implemented in local museums and collections. The summit expects to enhance the overall appreciation of natural history collections among the participants such that there will be increased networking and collaboration within and among players and stakeholders.

It will gather around 150 stakeholders of the Philippine natural history collection system, including, but not limited to management and staff of the various important museums, taxonomists and systematists from various public and private natural history collections, members of the academic community, management and staff of various government agencies, conservationists and environmentalist, representatives of the different museum associations in the Philippines, and members and patrons from the private sector.
