Universitas Syiah Kuala has established a thorough Climate Action Plan, which has been actively shared with local government authorities and community groups to promote widespread involvement and support. The creation of this plan was part of a broader effort to foster open dialogue on climate change, encouraging collaboration between the university, community leaders, and local government units (Districts). By involving these stakeholders from the outset, the university ensured that the plan addressed key concerns shared by all parties. This inclusive approach aims to build a strong foundation for tackling climate change through joint efforts in mitigation, adaptation, and long-term community resilience. The initiative underscores the importance of mutual agreement and shared responsibility in achieving meaningful progress on environmental issues.
