Respite and Child Care Services Through CRCC Include:
Eligibility: Children with medically fragile conditions, developmental delays and other physical challenges and their siblings aged 6 weeks to 21 years. Guardians must schedule in advance.
About: CRCC’s Weekend Respite program was designed to give families a break from the intense structures of the weekly routine and provide a unique and relaxing experience. The weekend program is a licensed Respite Care Service by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Hours: Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Children can attend all day or your preferred hours.
Eligibility: Children birth to three years of all abilities with medically fragile conditions, developmental delays and other physical challenges
About: Bringing children of all abilities together to learn in an early childhood environment that is centered on excellence, joy and inclusion. Children at CRCC are presented with rich experiences that teach them empathy, compassion, understanding, patience, diversity and more.
Includes quality services that prepare children for long-term success such as integrated therapy services, individualized education programs, early intervention services and more.

Eligibility: Children at least 3 years old and no older than 5 years old by August of the enrollment year with medically fragile conditions, developmental delays and other physical challenges

About: Promotes learning through purposeful play, and choice based activities that are relevant to the child and their development.

About: Full or part time care for before and after school and during school breaks.
Provides for medical and educational needs of clients, in an inclusive and loving environment focused on building relationships, gaining independence and instilling in children a sense of responsibility for themselves and their surroundings. Daily activities encourage positive peer interactions, communication skills, daily living skills, responsibility and what it means to be part of a community.
Eligibility: School aged children up to 21 years old with medically fragile conditions, developmental delays and other physical challenges and their siblings.
Cost: $50 one-time non-refundable per child. Accepts Title XX payment
About: 11 week camp with weekly in-house activities, special guests and fieldtrips.

Mental and Behavioral Services
Through Lutheran Family Services
Eligibility/ Requirements: For adults who have entered Emergency Protective Custody or are at high risk of entering Emergency Protective Custody.
Cost: There is no cost for this program.
About:
These services support both the Emergency and Community Support Levels of Care, and occur through the provision of specialized case management/service coordinating services and a 24-hour crisis response component.
TASC provides goal-oriented individualized supports focusing on improved self-sufficiency, and may provide occasional supportive counseling and crisis intervention services when allowed by regulatory or funding authorities.
Services Include:
Crisis Response Teams
Licensed mental health practitioners provide crisis intervention services and mental health triage assessment 24/7 when requested by law enforcement agencies.
Emergency Community Support
Provides individualized care coordination and short-term support for those who have recently experienced a crisis. Support includes bilingual/bicultural service coordination to help individuals whose language and/or culture creates a barrier to accessing needed mental health and substance use disorder services.
Intensive Community Services
Provides client-centered services for “high utilizers” of behavioral health services to avoid high costs of continuous care, reduce resources spent, and decrease morbidity and mortality (available only in Lancaster County, Nebraska).

About: A unique community-based living option. A contractor provides supports to a person who comes to live in their home, and the residence effectively becomes the person's home. Residents contribute to costs via a room and board payment. Additionally, the subcontractor is paid to support the person to live and become fully integrated into community life. Supports include formal training, based on the person’s identified goals, as well as development of interests and connections that enable the person to be a fully participating and contributing member of the community.

ReUse Network Through ATP
About: Provides recycled, reused, or repaired durable medical equipment (DME), adapted devices, or assistive technology.
Demonstrations allows individuals and groups to compare the features and benefits of various types of assistive technology.
Short-term Equipment Loans allows you to try equipment out before you buy it to make sure it is the right fit for you.
Borrowing equipment Can fill gaps while you are waiting for a repair or shipment of your own equipment and on a temporary basis while you recuperate from an injury or illness.
Home Modifications Through ATP
About: Technology Specialists work with individuals who have a disability to determine what assistive technology/home modifications are appropriate for their primary living environment. Modifications may include grab bars in the bathroom, entrance modifications, and assistive technology such as automatic door openers, stair lifts, and vehicle modifications.
Work and School Modifications Through ATP
About: Helping employees, employers and students find resources and determine appropriate technology to help you be successful.
Eligibility: ATP offers separte programs for students and children aged Birth- 3 years, and 3-21 years.
About: ATP Partnership Education program provides services to IFSP and IEP team members working with children and students with disabilities who are receiving services within school systems.
Services include: technical assistance for phone, email and online video (e.g. Zoom) technologies; Training for IFSP/IEP teams and school personnel; Access to a Statewide Assistive Technology Equipment Loan (AT4All.com) for up to 60 days at no cost.

About: Shaking a baby can result in lifelong disabilities, such as brain damage, seizures, paralysis, and even death.The number one reason a baby is shaken is due to frustration from non-stop crying.
If you find yourself being overwhelmed: Place the baby in a safe place, like a crib, and leave the room; slowly count to ten while taking deep breaths; call someone to take over for awhile; and you can contact the 24/7 crying baby helpline at (886) 243-2229.

About: smoking around infants and children can cause serious health problems and risks to their developing bodies.
Thirdhand smoke: refers to the toxins from cigarette smoke that stick to soft surfaces and can harm babies.
If someone is smoking near your baby or child don't be afraid to speak up. Your voice can make a difference in your child's life.
About: SIDS is the sudden and unexplained death of an infant who is younger than one year old. You can help prevent SIDS by taking the right precautions
Tips for reducing the risk of SIDS: Always place your baby on their back to sleep during naps and bedtime on a firm mattress with a fitted bed sheet. If your child falls asleep in a swing, car seat, etc. safely remove them and place them on their back in their crib.
Do not use bumper pads, blankets, pillows, or stuffed animals in the baby's bed.
Do not smoke, drink alcohol or use drugs while pregnant or around the baby.
Schedule and attend regular checkups with your baby's doctor.
About: Sometimes called "bed-sharing" means babies and their caregivers sleep together in the same bed.
Why it is Dangerous: Co-sleeping can cause physical injury and suffocation to a baby or young child and may prevent caregiver from getting a good night's sleep.

About: Life can be filled with endless appointments and chores – life should be fun! Family Focus is designed to bring families facing similar challenges together to draw strength and knowledge, as well as relax and socialize.
UCPN Overview: Strives to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy and similar disorders.
United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska serves the condition, as well as serves people and adults with cerebral palsy. They also work with individuals who have other disabilities as well as family members. They offer financial programs that anyone is able to attend, but also some that are inclusive to people with cerebral palsy.

Autism and Developmental/Intellectual Impairment Services
Eligibility: Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Payment: CAS is currently an in-network provider for ABA services with the following insurance plans: UHC, UBH, UMR, AETNA, BCBS-Network Blue PPO, OPTUM, TRICARE.
About: Childhood Autism Services (CAS) offers home based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Also offered are in-office and social skill services in accordance to the child's Individual Treatment Plan (ITP).
Eligibility: We will begin the process of helping your child with a pre-authorization from your insurance for a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA). A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will observe your child in the home (and possibly school) environment for behaviors and triggers, attention, avoidance, and other behavioral factors. Once the behaviors are identified the BCBA will then create an Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and present it to you and your insurance plan for approval.

Eligibility: Each individual and family served through ACN has varying requirements and unique living accommodations which are vital to creating a successful independent living situation for all parties involved.
About: ACN is committed to matching individuals with compatible housemates, ensuring privacy by requiring separate bedrooms for all individuals not related to one another, and fostering a welcoming and comfortable home-like environment by limiting group homes to no more than three individuals per home.
Each group home has round the clock staff.
Location: ACN's homes are located in single-family neighborhoods in Omaha and Lincoln, close to services such as bus lines, fitness centers, shopping, library, and potential employers.

Child and Adult Respite Care
Eligibility: Parents, primary caregiver and families of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
About: Being a primary caregiver for a loved one is one of the most rewarding, yet often difficult and challenging responsibilities one could encounter that can have a strong impact on your mental and physical health and family dynamic. Respite is a temporary break from the rigors of providing care to someone which special needs. ACN offers respite care from Compassionate Direct Support Professionals who have received training to provide for the specific needs of these individuals.
