This website is proudly brought to you by the students and faculty of the University of Nebraska’s multidisciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration effort.

What began as an effort to bring together the minds and experiences of various academic disciplines from the University of Nebraska’s multiple institutions has blossomed into this community resource guide.

While health care providers and clinical staff provide necessary medical and health services for their patients, information on other community resources can be difficult to come by. So, when we started this project, it was our goal to create an app for health care providers and clinical staff that they could turn to if and when a patient presented a problem outside of the provider’s realm of expertise. We developed a prototype and launched the app at one of the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s student run free clinics. With the success of our prototype, we were ready to begin a larger effort to bring knowledge of community resources to all health care providers and clinical workers within the Omaha metro. Then, COVID-19 spread across the globe and prevented us from visiting other clinics.

As the novel coronavirus spread into Eastern Nebraska, leaving many members of our community with financial and medical hardships, we knew that we had to do something to help. That is when we decided that we can continue our work, and provide much needed information on community resources not just among medical personnel, but to the public as well.
