Mentoring & Induction

“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.”

— Steven Spielberg

Mentoring

Mentoring is an essential component of the work done across University Schools for building and maintaining a culture of care and personal growth.  Mentors play a key role in strengthening teacher retention as they help support new teachers by providing them with a safe space to discuss topics and to seek guidance – mentors are someone who aids in building their confidence, competence, and comfort as an educator.  Serving as a mentor provides great satisfaction in giving back to the profession and continuing to grow as a teacher leader.

Serving as a mentor provides ongoing opportunities to pass along wisdom and experiences to help mentees discover how wonderful it is to be part of the University Schools Community – Bulldog Strong.
