PLCs/ELOs
"When teachers stop learning, so do students."
-Jim Knight
If you are looking to submit an idea for a ELO/PLC please complete this form, once you have submitted the form the Instructional Leadership Team will review the submission and provide you with next steps. Please feel free to reach out to the Instructional Coaches with any questions at instructional.coaching@universityschools.com.
Tips:
Note the difference between an ELO and a PLC
ELOs are one-time or intermittent offerings
PLCs are continuous and are split into Fall/Spring sessions
Reference the Schedule and times to make sure that you aren't trying to be in two places at once.
The registration form will only allow you to choose one answer in each category, however, if you would like to select more than one from the same category (e.g. Help for Billy and Brain Changers), you can submit the form again.
Everyone is required to choose at least one PLC or an equivalent time commitment of ELOs
Seats are on a first come first served basis
All of these hours count toward horizontal movement
Reminder: Participation in the Learning Opportunities will be compensated through horizontal movement hours and licensure renewal credits. You can use this tool to track the hours of the work you are doing.
