LOA 17 - Uniform Points

LETTER OF AGREEMENT

BETWEEN

UNITED AIRLINES, INC.

AND

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS IN THE SERVICE OF

UNITED AIRLINES, INC.

AS REPRESENTED BY

ASSOCIATION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANTS-CWA, AFL-CIO

This Letter of Agreement is made and entered into in accordance with the Railway Labor Act by and between United Airlines, Inc . (the “Company”) and the Association of Flight Attendants – CWA, AFL- CIO (the “Union”).  

WHEREAS during the negotiations between the Company and the Union (collectively, the “parties”) leading to the successor Agreement to the 2016 – 2021 Agreement (the “Agreement”), the parties agreed upon language in Section 25.D. related to the use of uniform points for the replacement of uniform items; and  

WHEREAS the parties recognize that the Company is currently in the process to issue a new uniform to its uniformed employees, including its Flight Attendants;  

NOW THEREFORE, the parties to this Letter of Agreement hereby agree as follows:  

1. The terms of the November 30, 2016 letter regarding implementation as it relates to Uniforms will remain in effect through the implementation of the new uniform, currently projected to be April, 2025, subject to the terms of paragraph 4, below.  

2. Uniform points issued in 2025 under paragraph 1, above, will be converted into new points under Section 25.D.5.a. at the rate of 4.18 new points per one (1) old point, upon implementation of the new uniform. Those points may then be used for the purchase of items under the new uniform program at the rate of one dollar per point. 

3. Beginning in January of the year following implementation of the new uniform, Flight Attendants will receive the point allotment provided for in Section 25.D.5.a. of the successor Agreement, provided it has been ratified by that date. 

4. The cost of the individual uniform items shall be published in Appendix A of this Letter of Agreement; 

5. The cost of the individual uniform items may not increase from the costs listed in Appendix A through ratification of the next amended agreement following the successor Agreement that is currently being negotiated.  

6. The Parties also agree that with the implementation of the new uniform, the Company will be responsible for the cost of the new hire uniform going forward. 

7. The list of uniforms items in Appendix A may be amended to add/remove uniform items;  

The parties hereto have signed this Letter of Agreement this 12th day of May, 2025.
