Graduation
To graduate, students must write a piece of work, i.e. a dissertation, and discuss it in front of an academic board in one of the available graduation sessions.
THE DISSERTATION
The dissertation must be of minimum 60 pages of 2000 characters each, including spaces on a specific subject from the students' study plan;
Students are guided in writing their dissertation by a supervisor who is, in general but not necessarily, one of the professors who held a course which the student attended and took the exam of.Â
THE SUPERVISOR
In general, the supervisor is a professor who already knows you as a student and has held a course which you have attended and took an exam of. However, this is not mandatory;
Students need to directly ask to the professor of their choice to be their supervisor and the professor can accept or decline the role;
If the professor agrees, the graduating student and the supervisor will discuss together the topic of the thesis and the work in general;
Students need their supervisor's approval to submit their graduation application and actually graduate.
THE GRADUATION APPLICATION
To graduate, students must submit an online graduation application;
On-time students with their course can submit your graduation application even if they have more than 12 CFU of exams to take. Students who are not on time (so, for example, are in their fourth year of study in a three-years Bachelor's degree) can submit their graduation application only if they have no more than 12 CFU left.
There are four graduation sessions during each academic year with specific deadlines to follow: calendar for procedures for the current academic year are available here.
Guidelines on how to do it are available here.
