Study Plan

You can build your study plan by combining the mandatory exams with a number of elective exams.

At the beginning of each academic year there is a specific span of time in which you can modify your study plan on Infostud and chose or change your elective courses.

Here we will try to explain how the study plan is structured and which are the indications for choosing among the elective courses.

PLEASE NOTE that when you have completed the modification of your Study Plan you have to send it: do not leave it as a draft.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact classics.sapienza@uniroma1.it

First Year

All the exams are mandatory.

Second Year

In your second year you have 12 CFU which you can "spend" for elective courses.

In this case you can choose any exam(s) among those provided by the Bachelor's Programmes of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, as long as the total amount of CFU is 12 (generally one 12 CFU exam or two 6 CFU exams).

Third Year

In your third year the only mandatory exams are: Classical Philology II, Roman History III, and Medieval and Renaissance Latin Literature.

You then have 30 CFU to use for elective exams but you have to choose among the exams listed in the group "Similar".

Please note that you cannot in any case choose exams outside the group.

You can find the list of possible exams here.

In your third year you also have the element "AAF2017 - For final exam": this indicates the discussion of your thesis, which is necessary to achieve your title.
