Prospective students

The course aims at offering a careful instruction to gain a solid knowledge of the Ancient World and in particular of Greek and Latin languages and literatures, Ancient History, Classical Archaeology, as well as the reception of Greek and Latin classics in Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary cultures.

The classes, designed to make the most of the opportunities offered by the city of Rome (including visits of classical sites, world-known museums and libraries), will all share an accurate and broad perspective on the Ancient World, so that the knowledge of Greek and Latin languages will always be associated to a study of the broadly cultural and anthropological aspects of those civilizations, together with their reception in later ages.

Our course in Classics, taught in English, will make it easier for students to find their way in an international context, in order for them either to continue their education or to enter the job market, especially in the fields connected to the dissemination and divulgation of cultural heritage (the world of publishing, of journalism, etc.).
