Sustainability and resilience of tangible cultural Heritage

The main objectives of Spoke 8 are: integrating technologies and sciences for Tangible Cultural Heritage (TCH); Shaping and developing phigital infrastructures for TCH inventories/cadastres able to support different knowledge paths and maximize accessibility; Evidence-based assessment workflows identifying cultural relevance/value/potentials of sites, areas and territories; Inter/transdisciplinary driven actualization, sustainability, resilience of TCH considering the connected value chain and in particular: anthropic/natural/climate influence, holistic preservation, societal needs, cultural relevance and economic impacts; Developing tailor-made strategies/models for inclusive and participatory management/governance of TCH and community awareness promotion; Promoting good practices, coordination actions, operational guidelines/standards for interaction/cooperation between society and public/private bodies/organizations, reinforcing cooperation/communication/intercomprehension of national bodies, EU research organisations and international public/private actors; Capacity building of staff to support public/private bodies, units and entities (museum system/networks, centres, sites, hubs) dedicated/connected to/involved in TCH sustainability and resilience. Spoke WPs/workflow relate with all the others (see below) according to specific milestones.
Planned activities are:
Improved technological tools and scientific procedures for TCH data capturing at large (i.e. documenting, dating, classifying, recording, measuring, etc.)
Standard procedures and phygital infrastructures for information creation, archiving, editing, retrieval - regional, regional or supra-regional urban and territorial settings
Comprehensive methodology for assessment of information potentials and cultural relevance/value of selected TCH contexts (i.e. artefacts assemblages, built heritage; GLAM; archaeological sites; sub-regional, regional or supra-regional urban and territorial settings
Inter/transdisciplinary driven actualization, sustainability and resilience of TCH

Value chain establishment for TCH referring to anthropic/natural/climate influence, holistic regional, regional or supra-regional urban and territorial settings
