T.8.4 Requirements for All Fasteners
Adjustable tie rod ends must be constrained with a jam nut to prevent loosening.
Explanation
Jam nuts are where you tighten two nuts together so they are held in place by the torque they create by being "jammed" together. Tie rods are rods used in car suspension. Jam nuts are permitted to constrain adjustable tie rod ends.
