Dr. Lorlie B. Tanjay, the Dean of the CJE department, continuously showcases exemplary competencies in the Criminal Justice field and the academe. During the 8th National Criminalistics Training held on April 28 – May 5, 2019, in Baguio City, she ranked 1st in Forensic Polygraphy. In the same year, she bagged 1st Place - Best Research Presenter on Set G: Outcomes-Based Education and Community Outreach, and 3rd Place on the overall category of ICIAR 2019 Oral Research Presenter of the 3rd International Conference on Institutional and Action Research (ICIAR) held on September 10-12, 2019 at Bangkok, Thailand. In the institution, she was recognized for her commendable performance as one of the Best Writers of Study Guide for the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021. The year 2019 commences the notable quantum leap of the department because of her manifested prowess.
In October 2020, she completed the University of Nueva Caceres’ Course 1: Treading in Uncharted Waters: Shifting the Mindset, and Course 2: Developing Courses for Online and Blended Learning, spearheaded by Curious Minds Manila, Inc. Dr. Tanjay also participated in the webinar regarding Unveiling the Future of Security in the Philippines held last March 5, 2021. The said undertaking was led by the Commission on Higher Education and Council of Deans for Criminology Education Region V. Moreover, the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services, Inc. (PAPSAS) conferred her with the utmost appreciation for participating in the Region 5 Chapter’s Student Discipline Cluster Conversation, with the theme: Legal Considerations in the Flexible Delivery of Student Discipline held on October 4, 2021. As part of the Criminology Academic Development Program, she also partook on Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, College of Criminal Justice, and Criminology - Forensic DNA on Criminal Investigation webinar last November 12, 2021.
